Regarding the guns found in the RV, Birdman also added "the guns we had were good," he said. "I do carry a gun and I am licensed. Tennessee is one of the states I can tote in. We know the guidelines [for carrying weapons]. They make you aware of everything in [marksmanship] class."

"I'm not married," he insisted. "Never! Been! Married! Plus, that girl was 18! I don't get down like that! Plus, if I was married, why would I keep it a secret?"

Cash Money Records CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams was among 16 people charged with possession of marijuana after the RV they were riding in was pulled over by police for making an improper lane change.
Kingsport Police Cpl. Tim Horne said he stopped the vehicle Tuesday after seeing it force a tractor trailer into the emergency lane on Interstate 81.
Horne said he could smell marijuana from inside the rented RV and located about a pound (450 grams) of marijuana in a trash can in the kitchenette after obtaining consent to search the vehicle.
Williams, 38, his wife Brittany, 18, and his brother, Ronald Williams, 43, were each charged with possession of more than 1/2 ounce (14 grams) of marijuana as were 13 others, several of whom are also affiliated with the rap industry and Cash Money Records.
Among those arrested were road manager Shahid Muhammad, 40, Cash Money Records promoter Casey Collins, 42, and music promoter Ovide Antoine, 32, of Miami, Florida.
All 16 remained jailed late Tuesday night. It was not known if any of them had an attorney.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is assisting in the investigation because an assault rifle, a handgun and a magazine for a .45-caliber handgun were found on the RV, Horne said. No weapons charges have been filed.
The group said they were traveling from New Orleans to New York for a BET shoot, Horne said.

-> 11/25 - Police Seek To Question Fabolous In Stabbing
Investigators want to interview Fabolous about the death of his friend in a Manhattan nightclub, it was reported Sunday.
Police believe Fabolous was with Shamel McKinney, 25, in the hours before McKinney was stabbed at the club Duvet, police told the New York Daily News.
A man who answered the door at Fabolous' New Jersey home said the rapper had spent Thanksgiving with his family and was not at the club.
Police sources said McKinney, 25, was hanging out with longtime friend Fabolous in the hours before he was killed, but that it was not clear if the rapper was still at the club at the time of the stabbing.
McKinney, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, staggered out of the club and collapsed on W.21stSt., blood gushing from his wounds, just after 3:30 a.m., witnesses said.
"The fight broke out, but he had nothing to do with it," said the victim's brother Darryl McKinney, 23, who was at the club. "He got caught in the middle."

-> 11/21 - T.I. Challenges Evidence In Weapons Case
T.I. says evidence collected against him and statements he made to authorities in a federal weapons case were illegally obtained.
Attorneys for the 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, filed motions Monday in U.S. District Court seeking to suppress evidence seized from his vehicle and statements he made on the day of his Oct. 13 arrest.
The attorneys allege the vehicle was searched without a warrant, consent or probable cause. They also allege that Harris' detention might not have been proper, statements he made to authorities may not have been voluntary, and agents may have failed to honor his rights.
The motions didn't elaborate on the basis for the legal challenges, but said more details would be filed later.
There was no immediate ruling by a judge. A spokesman for federal prosecutors, Patrick Crosby, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press that his office would respond in court.
Authorities say Harris tried to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers in midtown Atlanta about an hour before a scheduled performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. They say he already had three guns in his car, including one that was loaded.
T.I. faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each weapons charge.
He is free on bond, but is under house arrest. A pretrial conference was scheduled Wednesday.
The rapper had asked to host a Thanksgiving Day gathering at the home where he's staying, but the plan was scrapped after the government opposed it. His bond conditions require court approval of visitors.
A charity event he is sponsoring to give turkey dinners to the needy will go on Thursday, but Harris won't be there, according to one of his record labels.

-> 11/19 - Saigon releases exclusive statement on HipHopGame
Saigon is quitting the game. Here's the statement he released exclusively to HipHopGame.
"Fuck this wack-ass bullshit, this fake-ass…The game is wack. It's not owned by us. It's not controlled by us. All we are are fucking pawns in a chess game and I don't want to be a pawn no more, so I'm jumping off the chessboard. Take me out the game.
"I think I should be putting more time into my nonprofit organization In Arms Reach and Abandoned Nation. We help the kids of New York City whose parents are incarcerated. Everybody who wanted to support me in this rap shit can support me by going to InArmsReach.org. You don't have to only send money. You can send books or anything the kids can use. Anything that can help a kid in need, send that. Support me like that."
Saigon also addressed Joe Budden's recent freestyle on Rap City, where he said, "With the chicks I hit and run like Saigon."
"Joe Budden never in his life would have gone to a show of somebody he has beef with, got onstage and performed. Being that he feels so comfortable putting my name as one of the butts of his jokes, I hope feels as comfortable in that hospital gown because I'm going upside his head.
"It's not just this Joe Budden shit. I can't even wake up and fart without seeing this shit on the internet and I'm not even famous. Imagine if I was famous. I would go crazy. This shit would drive me fucking nuts. Everybody feels like they got a right to criticize you. I'm not one of these people. I take it personally and I can't deal with it. If me being a rapper is inviting everybody to throw stones and take shots at me, then I don't want to be a rapper because I'm going to be the one who ends up suffering. I'm going to do something to one of these people and it's going to cost me my life and my freedom.
"This is it. The Greatest Story Never Told...I guess you could say it was prophecy."

-> 11/17 - Eminem, The Good Father
Eminem is refusing to embark on any future U.S tour in fear of upsetting his young daughter.
"I've toured more than him because he has Hailey and he likes to physically be at the house," 50 Cent told MTVUK, speaking of Eminem.
"A lot of people don't know the reason behind him touring less - but Hailey would put boxes in front of the door thinking this would stop him going.
"He (Eminem) would fly back on a private plane after the show so he could drive her to school in the morning so for him the tour was exhausting."

-> 11/17 - Saigon and Tru Life recording album together; HipHopGame bringing continuous, exclusive coverage on the album
Longtime friends Saigon and Tru Life are joining forces to record an album together and are going to keep fans up-to-date on the recording of the album exclusively through HipHopGame.
"I feel like we're just trying to bring a breath of fresh air back to the game," Tru Life told HipHopGame. "People have been missing out on the music and there's a lot of drama. Artists aren't getting along with each other and me and Sai have been close friends before everything else. We have two different, huge fanbases and we're just bringing that together to bring the people good music. That's what we're bringing – good music. We just felt like we wanted to give this to New York City and the whole world and blast this out on HipHopGame. This is just about music – no drama, just music."
"We're using what got us here, and that's our talent," Saigon said. "Our talent put us in this situation to get our music out there. At times we get sidetracked by the bullshit, but we have to bring it back to what made me love hip-hop and that's the genuine shit, not the gimmicky shit. The radio is pretty much destroying hip-hop. The bullshit music is fucking it up because now everybody feels like they can do it. When everybody can do something, it gets so diluted and the music won't be as potent. We're not even going to call this a mixtape. We're doing an album together."
Being that Tru Life and Saigon were friends before their careers took off, the chemistry should not be a problem. "I just feel like you haven't heard two people with that chemistry in a long time, like Capone N Noreaga," Tru Life said. "When me and Saigon get together, it's so easy. We can go in the studio with no ideas and come out with a hit record."
"If people are familiar with the music we've done together, then they know it's phenomenal, like 'Yep Yep' and 'Bust Your Gunz'," Saigon said. "There's joints we never even put out that we did that are crazy. Everybody who fucks with me and my brother, look out for this because it's going to be something crazy. It's all going to be documented on HipHopGame. You're going to be able to see how we do it. We don't just beat up on rappers. We make good music."
"It's history in the making!" Tru Life added. Look out for more on this project exclusively on HipHopGame.

"We're putting out a Roc Boys mixtape with everybody from Rocafella," Memphis Bleek told HipHopGame. "It's with Green Lantern and my man Lenny S. They got Jay in the studio doing a freestyle. The tape should be out next week. It's called The Roc Boys and it's got everybody from Rocafella. You're going to hear joints from everybody and there are a lot of new joints. We're letting people know the Roc Boys are back. We're trying to do a Roc Boys album. I did four joints with Uncle Murder and Tru Life. I got two joints with Beans. We got about six joints ready for the album. This is something that we're doing. Jay don't have a part in this. Jay heard about the mixtape and came to the studio after his show last night and said, 'Hey, I need to be a part of this.' This is all us doing it. We're doing this ourselves."
Memphis Bleek said the mixtape should be out this week.

-> 11/09 - J-Hood responds to Styles P
J-Hood released a statement to HipHopGame regarding Styles P's statement. Styles P recently told HipHopGame that J-Hood could receive his release from D-Block if he made a public apology on the internet. Here's what J-Hood said:
"Once again it has come to my attention that one of the CEOs of the crew has something about my thoughts. First of all, he was the one I actually got a chance to sit down and talk with, and during that talk I explained to him I wanted off the label with no affiliation with it or anything. He responded by saying, "Okay, that shouldn't be a problem. I'll get it done. I then gave him two weeks to get it done or to try to get it done without getting a call to let me know the status of the release or anything. So then I called him and he told me that he was working on it.
"I then gave him another week without hearing anything back from him. Then that week turned into another week, so I then called him again to see what was going on. I got no answer so I called repeatedly. Approximately three to four times later, he called me back and said he has to see what's up with the lawyer for D-Block because he doesn't really deal with him. I started to feel like I was being dicked around.
"There was a four-week time period I gave him to try and make something happen. After the fourth week, the YouTube thing popped up and all the commotion started. And to this day, I have yet to get a release from the label or a call and he has the audacity to say he wants a public apology? I already apologized to the fans. That should be the only people I need to apologize to for letting them see me show frustrating by using the "dragging the chain" as a metaphor for how I felt they was dragging me all these years. They get on the radio on the same station that a top DJ said he wouldn't support me and they try to assassinate my character so the fans would look at me differently. They're using the radio as a defense mechanism because Flex won't interview me, so I'm using the internet, something that the world can see. Then he has the nerve to have his little puppets talking brazy on his new mixtape and he wants me to apologize? Come on now.
"Everybody knows time is money, so why you wasting mine, brother? If you would have just signed them like you said you would, none of this would be happening. So you want a reason that you should let me go? If you was a super gangster you wouldn't need a reason because you would be real enough to know that's not G'd up to stop the next man's paper or hold them or at try to hold them from being successful. Yeah, you said I was off and I could get off, but you never came through and signed the papers. You can say anything. Everybody knows that, but if it ain't in black and white, it ain't official, so that's that.
"Point blank, I need off and thought they would be realer than this and handle it like someone that lives off experience."

-> 11/06 - Saigon releases "Come On Baby (Remix)" featuring Jay-Z
The song every Saigon fan has been waiting for is finally out.
"We released it now because unfortunately, the whole situation with Mobb Deep kind of slowed up the process," Saigon told HipHopGame. "The original was going, but that kind of set me back. The original was almost at 200 spins and we hadn't even shot the video. But when that Mobb Deep shit happened, I got in trouble with a lot of people at radio, so the song kind of slowed down. But now that we're premiering the video this week on Rap City, we're going to keep the song alive. The album is coming real soon and the timing was perfect. That bullshit is behind me. I'm getting back on my grind and getting the music going. The video is premiering this week. We're going to keep it moving and get ready to release the album. I plan on putting out a few singles before my album comes out."
Saigon is currently preparing the release of The Moral of the Story as well as his debut album The Greatest Story Never Told.

J-Hood recently released a statement about how he's still not released from his D-Block contract.
"As all the majority of the fans out there know, I asked to be released from D-Block approximately three months ago and 'til this day, I've yet to be released from the label. The C.E.O.s in charge of the corporation are refusing to sign the papers necessary for me to go free as an artist and on top of that, they even threatened to ask for money for the release.
"We all know they went through a similar situation earlier in their careers. Let's hope that's not what they have become…the biggest hypocrites.
"Be on the lookout for further information concerning this matter. I have prepared numerous projects that are scheduled to be released before the end of the year just to show the fans I wasn't the problem in this ordeal. Thanks for the support from the fans and the haters. ODG is the new movement."

-> 11/01 - Jacob The Jeweler Pleads Guilty
Jeweler to the stars Jacob Arabov pleaded guilty Wednesday to falsifying records and giving false statements to investigators looking into a multistate drug ring.
Terms of the plea deal call for Jacob Arabov of New York to serve up to 46 months in prison and pay a $2 million penalty, U.S. Attorney Stephen J. Murphy said in a news release. No sentencing date was immediately set by U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn.
In return for the guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to drop money laundering charges against the man known in the hip-hop world as "Jacob the Jeweler," said Arabov's attorney, Benjamin Brafman.
Arabov, 41, known as "Jacob the Jeweler" was indicted in Detroit last summer for allegedly helping the "Black Mafia Family" and its principals, former Detroiters Demetrius and Terry Flenory, launder some $270 million in drug proceeds. Arabov pleaded not guilty to the charges.
His lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said Arabov is a fundamentally honest citizen who used bad judgment in an attempt to conceal dealings with a small group of individuals. He said Arabov had accepted responsibility for his conduct and hopes the judge will consider his lifetime of business success and his charitable work in sentencing him.
"I have always been blessed with good fortune and loving friends and family," Arabov said in a statement issued by Brafman. "I realize I have made a terrible mistake and I am ready to accept the consequences of my actions… My desire is to do whatever I can to atone for my wrongdoings and move ahead with the great business I have built and the wonderful family that I love."
